7 August Favourites
Melbourne winter has a way of draining the life out of you! Skin gets more dehydrated, hair gets flatter, and my routine constantly changes to keep up. A few products have stayed consistent and made this month easier. Here are 7 of my August favourites!
Rhode Pocket Bronzer
I am constantly talking about these bronzers! I hadn’t been obsessed with any new bronzers until these ones came out. They’re super creamy & blendable - perfect for a beginner makeup user!
I use the shade ‘sunbed’ and it warms up my face beautifully without looking muddy or orange.
2. Lancome Juicy Blush
This formula is thin and versatile! It goes beautifully on bare skin and beautifully over makeup.
I particularly love the shade ‘10. Pink Oh La La’. It’s a pale pink that brightens up the face and adds dimension to any look. I like to place it quite high on my cheek bone, above a peachier coloured blush!
3. Gisou Honey Infused Hair Perfume
In the scent ‘Vanilla Glaze’.
A hair perfume is the perfect final step to your hair care routine! This perfume is made specifically for hair, rather than using a body perfume that can cause damage to your hair.
It contains argan oil and honey for moisture and shine.
4. Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment
I recommend this avo eye cream to anyone who will listen! It’s great for skin prep as it sits really nicely under makeup. It’s also super hydrating.
5. Refy Tinted Lip Gloss
In the shade ‘Rosewood’.
A beautiful hydrating and non sticky gloss. It’s got a subtle rosey tint that works with every look. I love the metal applicator on this - it gives a cooling effect to the lips when applied.
6. Gisou Honey Infused Lip Oil
This is a formula unlike any other. It’s a deeply hydrating oil that stays on longer than any other lip oil, and has a high shine finish. I have the shade ‘Glazed Plum’ which is a beautiful neutral with a slight shimmer. Super cute!
7. MAC Kajal Eyeliner
This is the blackest black eyeliner! It glides on really easily and lasts really really well. It also has a slightly slower dry down time, so it smudges really beautifully to create a smokey liner/smokey eye.
